- 3 / 5By Markus SandyFirst off, Hurricane Junction is on the corner of 15th and Maple. The pin on Google maps was incorrect at the time of this writing (pin was located where Hooper's is; these are not the same place).
Ok, that said, HJ has friendly service and decent food. The burgers are OK, but nothing to brag about. Fries are not bad. Good onion rings. My wife was very pleased with the Philly Cheese Sandwich that was the day's special.
The waitress indicated that the lady cook makes better sandwiches and insists they be served with au jus, but that the man cook does not. He also way overcooks the burgers.
A few too many TV's for my taste. The funny thing was that one TV was showing a ball game with the sound way up, but everyone at the bar and at the tables was watching the NatGeo show on the muted TV's trying to read the closed captions. LOL! Go figure.
